There are Many Ways to Rome :)

Rome is just like any other capital cities, crowded, smelly, traffics, and famous. There are so many to visit, but what could I do, I just had one day. First destination was to St. Peter’s Basilica, which is known as the largest interior of any Christian church in the world, and Vatican Museum, the ticket price is €8 but yeaa it was worth it I guess, wasn’t so expensive for this kind of famous museum but the inside was like I don’t know I’m not a big fan of egyptian and popes and religious stuff. One thing I noticed was the Sistine Chapel, quite famous also, as it was one of the scene of Angel and Demons, too bad I wan’t allowed to take pictures.. Here’s the Basilica church..

I don’t actually like Rome, cause I tell you what me and my friend nearly got theft. We were in the metro, and there was a middle-aged fat dressed lady standing beside me. The metro was crowded like hell and once the train braked, this lady got really close to me and all of sudden her hand was INSIDE my friend’s bag. Clearly saw it by her own eyes, constantly my friend screamed and told me to be careful. I didn’t really get who the thief was but then I realized that lady was trying to open my bag. It was so stressful!! Thank God at the same time the train stopped so I followed the crowd and went outside. Other reason why I don’t really like Rome is that it’s dirty, too crowded, and you can smell pee all the way.

Enough is enough about that damn fat lady.. Next visit was to Trevi Fountain, which is a really beautiful fountain but too bad it was full of people, really crowded. It is close to The Pantheon, it’s a building with pillars surrounding by many Italian restaurants. I was so excited to taste the savor of Italian food like pizza and pasta. So I had lunch with delicious spaghetti carbonara and pizza margherita whose red tomatoes, green basil, and white cheese represent the Italian flag.

Day was getting darker, Colloseum was still full of tourists, and looking ancient. After taking pictures there, I had no power to climb the Roman Forum, which is used to be the area where the ancient Roman civilization developed.

Buying souvenirs here was pretty much cheaper than other countries. The goods are good, the stores are easily found, and the price is just affordable. Gotta get ready for Switzerland tomorrow ;D

Florence and Pisa!

I spent one day going to these two cities. In the morning I went to Pisa just to see Pisa tower and then go back to Florence. I realized it wasn’t enough :(

After taking pictures and bought souvenirs in Pisa, I directly went to San Lorenzo market which is located in the city center of Florence and it is famous of its leather stuff. My main focus was to buy a belt for Dad and a purse for Mom. Normally for the purse it costs around €20-30. The leather jackets are so expensive, normally they are around €100 for women and €300 for men. The bags.. God I wish I could buy them but you know the price are above €150 which is around Rp 2,000,000 so I just stared at them..

Beautiful Venice ♥

Next day was Venice, or people also usually call it Venezia, taking around 2.5hours by train from Milan. This city is unique, cause the transportation is only by Vaporetto, which is a water bus. The 24hour ticket for this bus is a bit expensive, €18. The hotel room where I stayed was very big, a classic design with a small river as I looked outside the window :)

I spent the day going to St Mark Square, full of old architecture building and souvenir sellers. Every single view of this city is so beautiful :) Like really.. The sun, the river, the vaporetto, the gondolas, the tourists, all of them. Anyway, the most attractive part of visiting this city is that all the view I saw there were totally the same like what I saw in The Tourist movie. Everytime I found where Jolie’s hotel was or the likely shooting locations from that movie, I was like aaah I really am here!!

I spent most of the day riding a gondola. Fortunately I met a gondola rider offering me a special price for 40minutes ride which costs €50. It’s cheap I think, cause normally they’d offer more or less €60 or even €100 as it gets closer to night. The famous Rialto bridge isn’t that fascinating, it’s old and dirty so I just skipped.

The gondola rider told me a little bit about The Tourist movie, and he said he was in the movie haha so then I watched the film again to check but then I think he lied. He’s really funny though, singing along his riding and told us stories about Casanova.

Prossima Fermata: Milano Centrale

Italy was the first country visited. I took train from Paris to Milan but the transits were twice, in Lyon and Geneva which is inside Switzerland. Those transits only lasted about an hour so I just sat down in the waiting room. First day I saw Milan’s train station was like wow, it’s big and clean. We arrived at nearly 11 midnignt and I did still have to find a hotel, thank God a Chinese guy helped and took me there.

First day I went to Piazza del Duomo

reached there by Metro with buying the 24hour ticket for about €6. Around the Piazza there are city center, the famous church Duomo and Gallery Vittorio Emanuele II, which is a marvelous shopping center in Milan, built with a well-architectured style.

Be careful when you got here, as you see so many beautiful doves flying around you and there are some guys offer you corns to feed those birds then take pictures of you, soon they’ll ask for money. Two of my friends got fooled, they had to pay €20 in total. That was a total waste!

Anyway, around this city center, there are lots of restaurants offering different kind of food. We decided to taste Panzerotti and gelato Cioccolat Italiani. Panzerotti Luini is so tasty with only costs €2.5 each, for the gelato as well, no wonder there were really crowded at both!

I also walked around Via Montenapoleone, sightsee the luxurious street offering branded stuff like LV, Versace, and the biggest store are like Emilio Pucci, Gucci and Armani which is indeed originated from Italy.

I’m coming back ;)

Bonjour à tous!

You don’t know how I miss reblogging stuff here and post something.

I had an awesome trip lately which took 3 weeks around Europe.

Went to 7 countries and around 10 cities, I still can’t get enough!

My very first day trip was in 18th of December, very close to Christmas’ Eve.

You have to know how hard it was to arrange those plans from the earlier

reservation-international-train-tickets booking until what we’re gonna sightsee.

Steps are:

1Ask my mom ”Hey Mom I’m gonna have a big trip for Christmas and New Year,

probably around 2 weeks, don’t worry I’ll make it wellplanned and you don’t really

have to give much money cause I’ve saved some. Is it ok?”

And she said YES. Thank God

2. Browse on the internet for a Global Pass which allows people to travel to freely

22 EU countries for 3 weeks. It costs around 460 and it’s cool, I mean really,

if compared to any single trip by train. It will definitely cost more.

3WHAT COUNTRIES??? This is hard.. Actually I had the trip with my 3friends so

we were kinda have different thoughts but then we agreed. The most important

thing was where to spend New Years Eve?

We decided Berlin. Was it great? You’ll see.

4. Arrange the depart time of our train. From Paris to Milan, Milan to Venice,

and so on. If you really want your trip to be fun, spend this job smarter.

Almost everyday around 3weeks before trip, I slept at 3am to do this. Just so you know..

5. We booked the hotels, motels, holiday inns! The thing is, there are a lot to

consider. Hostels or hotels? The price or the location? I remember we were like

having such a big meeting to make such decisions. Funny.. You gotta be genius.

Cause otherwise, your trip’s gonna be awful. It’s much better to find a hotel which

is close to any public transportation stop or even train station.

6. Voila! What are we gonna do? And visit? And sightseeing? I’ll post what I got.

See ya :D
